Biography

Award-winning Lithuanian pianist Kristina Annamukhamedova performs as a solo and chamber musician across Europe and the United States. She made her orchestral debut with the St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra and Donatas Katkus performing the Piano Concerto No. 2 by Frédéric Chopin.

Kristina is a prizewinner of numerous competitions, notably the International F. Chopin Competition in Budapest and Vilnius and the International “Virtuoso Per Musica Di Piano Forte” Competition in the Czech Republic. She has gone on to appear as soloist with the Lithuanian National Chamber Orchestra, the Kaunas City Symphony Orchestra, and the St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra.

A dedicated chamber musician, Kristina has collaborated in concert with members of the New York City Ballet and the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra. She has studied and performed at the Aspen Music Festival and School, the Vilnius Piano Music Festival, and the Academie Musicale de Villacroze, among many others. Kristina has also participated in masterclasses for many prominent artists in the field including Dimitri Bashkirov, Arie Vardi, Fabio Bidini, Erik T. Tawaststjerna, and Ivari Ilja.

Kristina earned the Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in performance and pedagogy from the Sibelius Academy of the University of the Arts Helsinki, and is currently pursuing Artist Diploma studies at the Colburn School under the tutelage of Professor Fabio Bidini. Throughout her studies, Kristina has been honored by awards from the Rostropovich Charity and Support Fund, the International Rotary Vilnius Club Award, the Sibelius Academy Grant, and the Paulo Säätiö Foundation Grant.
